George Canyon’s current album, “What I Do” was produced by George and pop king Richard Marx and features songs written with legend Chuck Cannon and Nickleback’s Chad Kroeger.  It’s first single, “Just Like You” has George singing about the subject of fatherhood while examining his longing for childhood-lost with hopped-up fiddles and banjos, set against a thumping backbeat.  This song, as well as the title track for the album “What I Do’ was inspired by his son Kale.  The single titled “I Believe In Angels” was inspired by both of his children and as well as reaching the top #5 in the Canadian country charts was one of the top requested tracks at radio.

Canyon in currently is in the United States giving inspirational talks and intimate performances at camps for children with diabetes, a condition he shares with them.

The 2010 CCMA Awards will take place on Sunday, September 12 at 5pm at the beautiful Rexall Place in Edmonton, AB.
