Juno-award winning country music artist, George Canyon will be landing his plane at the Villeneuve Airport (Hangar 44) in Sturgeon County, Edmonton, Alberta on Wednesday, August 2 to perform music and share stories of an inspired life with type 1 diabetes (T1D) through his ‘The Sky’s Not the Limit’ tour.
“After the huge success in 2009 with ‘The Sky’s Not The Limit’ national events, I’ve been approached by many families living with Type 1 diabetic children asking me to do it again. I have been living with Type 1 diabetes since age 14 and being able to connect with these kids and their families about the daily challenges we face, is of the utmost importance to me.”
As National Spokesperson for JDRF, George inspires people with T1D to pursue their dreams, no matter what the odds. George is a celebrated country music artist, a certified pilot and has completed seven and a half years of service as an honorary colonel in the Canadian Air Force.
