When a diagnosis of type 1 diabetes prevented him from pursuing his dream of becoming a pilot — George Canyon simply switched gears and went to Plan B, then Plan C.
Now the award winning country music star is using his gift of music and his experience with diabetes to encourage kids to not give up on their dreams. This week, George Canyon is visiting Diabetic Camps in Georgia and Alabama, USA, Camp Kudzu and Camp Seale-Harris. These camps educate, empower and inspire children with diabetes through summer camps and year round programs. George will be spending time at these camps talking to the kids about living with diabetes, giving them hope and inspiration, as well as perform a few songs for them.
This morning, George appeared on Good Day Atlanta! Fox 5 Television morning show.
